Welcome Address On The Occassion Of The Blessing Of The New Church Building.

Posted on:October 13th, 2021

The Chaplain Peace of the Lord.

Let me take this precious moment to thank our Heavenly Father for the gift of life and for allowing us to gather here for this special occasion in our Chaplaincy.

We welcome our Chief Shepherd, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Archbishop of Lagos, all Priests, religious, the Lay faithful and the staff and students at St. Augustine’s College of Education, Akoka who have come to share the joy of this day with us. We appreciate your presence. We also want to thank all the invited guests and our benefactors for hearkening to our call and coming to grace the occasion. We are very glad for the contributions you made toward today’s success story.

Let me also thank all the chaplaincy members who took part in making sure that all was well: starting from the pako small building to the new building that the Lord has given us. It has been a difficult journey but our Father and the King has made it possible for us to see this event.

I know many of us and others have been praying for this occasion and the building itself. We want to thank our Father for the much that has been done.

I have no doubt in my mind that we feel privileged and honoured to partner with our loving Father as He uses us to do his work of saving souls on earth. We thank each and every one of you for finding time to come and witness this great occasion in our church today. We know that the Holy spirit is at work and we thank our Lord.

Finally, I want to say congratulations to our church for the building and for having it blessed for use. We pray that many who will come for fellowship and worship will find an ideal environment in which to meet their maker.

Thank you and God bless you all real good.
