02-08-2017 First Wednesday Prayer

Theme: Youths: you are called to be the light of the World.

Scriptural Reading: Matt. 5:14-16.

Prayer as they hold the candle:

1. Tonight I want you to say father, do something wonderful in my life. Let me be the one that will receive my blessings in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

1. Say Almighty Father, every power that will suppress my blessings, tonight fight those powers for me till they are totally confused, drained of their strength and send them to the abyss in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

1. Say almighty father, any stationed enemy or agent of darkness that want to receive information about me and my household in order to create confusion, father scatter and strip them of their powers in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

1. Tonight father, station your angel at the entrance of this building, every marine agent, evil spirits that may come to surpress this prayer, father, we strip them of their powers and they enter into this place let there be total turn around in their life in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

1. Tonight as I light this candle I shall begin to experience growth spiritually, financially, academically, morally in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

Tonight the Lord is blessing someone, if you are the one say a big Amen. Be the first to go on your knees and worship the Lord, as you stand go round and shake at least 10 persons saying to them congratulations, may the Lord make permanent your blessings in the name of Jesus. Amen.

HOMILY

Before we begin today’s teaching and prayers, I would humbly ask the youths in the house of the almighty God to say this word after me-they are set of affirmations that will empower you today and for the rest of your life if you say them with great faith.

Say out loud and clear before the most High:

I am a light

My light gonna shine before men and women.

I am a light carrier

Everywhere I go, my light will shine and men and women acknowledge my light because God is working marvelously through me-I am gonna shine.

Because I am a light carrier, darkness has no place in my life.

Because I am a light, I am destined for greatness.

Because I am a light, I choose to move forward everyday.

Because I am a light, I choose to grow and learn as I grow and go on in life.

Because I am a light I can learn anything good.

Because I am a light I choose to mingle with the right people.

Because I am a light I believe I have amazing potential

Because I am a light, I believe I can with the help of God make good choices.

Because I am a light, as from today, I will treat others with kindness.

Because I am a light, I will be a friend to someone in need.

Because I am a light I am beautiful, I am handsome, I am intelligent.

Because I am a light I am strong.

Because I am a light I can forgive and forget.

Because I am a light, I love myself because God didn’t make a mistake when he created me. I am wonderfully and beautifully made and I am the apple of his eye.

Because I am a light I can change for the better.

Because I am a light, I have time for myself, to know myself better, to believe in what God has deposited in me, to develop my gifts.

Because I am a light I am one with God.

Because I am a light I am who God says I AM.

Because I am a light, I am a winner.

Because I am a light, I am a victor.

Because I am a light, I am loved by God and others.

Because I am a light, I am not alone-God is with me always.

Because I am a light, I am a good father, a good mother, a good son, a good daughter.

Because I am a light I love my parents, I love my brothers and sisters, I love my children.

Because I am a light I am wealthy.

Because I am a light I am unique and special and most importantly I am ME-SHOUT IT OUT WITH THE YOUR STRENGTH AND MIDLY TO YOURSELF.

May this affirmations you have made today, be your lot and portion today and always in the name of Jesus. Amen.

These affirmations are statements you say to yourself everyday-the more you say them aloud by declaring them, they gradually become part of you and you begin to walk in the direction of what you have declared.

Words are very powerful! What you say out-you give life. if you confess negative everyday, you are giving negativity life and it would work against you in no distant time from the moment you declared it. If you confess positive always, you are well able to break barriers, you become strong, you become more than able, you become capable, you become unstoppable, you become an achiever, you become a champion because you are always saying positive things.

Your thoughts, your speech and actions all go together-what you think, is what you will speak and what you will act out. That is why it is very key to watch your thoughts for your thoughts directs your life and influences your actions. That is why proverbs 4:23 says “be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”

God believes in you, in your potential, in your capabilities, in your strength, in your talent, in your gift that is why he is saying to you today-You are the light of the world. He was not mistaken when he said it. It is a statement of fact. A statement of belief. A statement of-I am sure of what I am saying about this child-you are the light of the world.

He made that statement because he created you and if he created you, you are called to be like your creator. If God is light, Jesus is light. In John 8:12; 9:5- “I am the light of the world.” the believer is said to be the light of the world.

He didn’t say this so that you will go and sit down and say to yourself God has said I am a light therefore let me go and sit and sleep. No way! It is a call to a huge responsibility. The question is, in what way must I make my light shine? Where can my light shine?

Friends, your light can only shine in the things you do that are good and positive. Your light can only shine in the world, in your family, in your school, in your chaplaincy, in your office, in your society, among your friends.

The light we are talking about is that gift and talent, is achieving your purpose in life. This light can only shine when you walk with Christ. When you surrender yourself to Christ. When you give a primary place to the Lord, when you ask him to take the lead. When you converse with him every inch, every step you take, he will act on your behalf for when the Lord acts on your behalf, it is always sweeter, merrier, and better and great.

Streams, rivers don’t struggle to flow because they are functioning in the perspective that the Lord has destined them. So it is with you, when you allow the Lord to direct you in way you should function. You don’t need to take permission from anyone to make your life shine, you don’t need to walk in anyone’s shadows, you don’t need to beg people to make your light shine.

1. The Lord says, you are the light of the world-therefore means that you must not allow anything to contaminate you. You are called to be clear and pure. Eph. 5:8-9 says “for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the world. Live as children of light-for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.”
2. Light penetrates. By nature it cuts through and eliminates darkness. 1 Thess. 5:5 says “you are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to darkness.”
3. Light enlightens. It enlarges a person’s vision and knowledge of an area.
4. Light reveals. It opens up the truth of an area, a whole new world, and it clears up the way to the truth and the life. John 14:6-“Jesus answered, I am the way the truth and the life. no one comes to the father except through me.”

John 12:36 says-put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light. When he finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.

1. Light guides. It directs the way to go, leads along the right path. John 12:46-“I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.”

Beloved in christ, this light could be the wisdom, an understanding heart which is a treasure one needs to pray for. there are benefits of wisdom or an understanding heart which are;

The benefits of an understanding heart (wisdom)

1. An understanding heart which is wisdom helps one get a clear guidance from God. Wisdom is the capacity to see things from God’s perspective and respond according to scriptural principles. Those who walk in wisdom receive the father’s direction for their lives. While God’s children go through some terrible situations in life, they spared many mistakes because God is the best teacher to guide them and help them to make fresh starts.

Proverbs 3:5-6-“trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.”

Proverbs 3:21-26-“hold on to your wisdom and insight, my son. Never let them get away from you. They will provide you with life-pleasant and happy life. you can go safely on your way and never even stumble. You will not be afraid when you go to bed, and you will sleep soundly through the night. You will not have to worry about sudden disasters, such as come on the wicked like a storm. The Lord will keep you safe. He will not let you fall into a trap.”

When we walk in divine wisdom, we can rest assured that the Lord is with us always.

1. It will bring us God’s Divine Protection

Wisdom protects us from evil-proverbs 14:16 says “wise people are careful to stay out of trouble, but stupid people are careless and act too quickly.”

Wisdom protects us from people who entice us to do evil. Any person who tempts you to sin is not a friend. He or she wants to lead you into a situation that will ultimately cause you loss or harm. Proverbs 2:10-19 “when sinners tempt you, my son, don’t give in. suppose they say, “come on; let’s find someone to kill! Let’s attack some innocent people for the fun of it! They may be alive and well when we find them, but they will be dead when we are through with them! We will find all kinds of riches and fill our houses with loot! Come and join us, and we will all share what we steal. Don’t go with people like that, my son. Stay away from them. They can’t wait to do something bad. They are always ready to kill. It does no good to spread a net when the bird you want to catch is watching, but men like that are setting a trap for themselves, a trap in which they will die. Robbery always claims the life of the robber-this is what happens to anyone who lives by violence.””

Wisdom saves us from misleading emotions-proverbs 28:26 “it is foolish to follow your own opinions. Be safe, and follow the teachings of wiser people.”

1. It gives a Good self-image: because we are created in the image and likeness of God, we are so important to God and that is why the father loves us, values us, and desires a close relationship with us. He has a specific plan for each one of us and this should give us confidence and a good self-image.

Proverbs 8:32-35-“now, young men, listen to me. Do as I say, and you will be happy. Listen to what you are taught. Be wise; do not neglect it. The man who listens to me will be happy-the man who stays at my door every day, waiting at the entrance of my home. The man who finds me finds life, and the lord will be pleased with him. The man who does not find me hurts himself; anyone who hates me loves death.”

1. Wisdom gives prosperity. Proverbs 10:22-“it is the Lord’s blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer.”
2. Wisdom gives good health and long life.- it saves us from many difficulties in this life. it equips us to handle difficult circumstances and positions us to receive eternal rewards. Proverbs 3:7-8 says “never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the Lord and refuse to do wrong. If you do, it will be like good medicine, healing your wounds and easing your pains.”

Beloved in Christ, these benefits of wisdom which are indeed true and lasting treasure for life can be the blessing of anyone who walks steadily with the Lord. The second reading of today says it all when he says all things work together unto good for they who believe. I pray this day and always that we may seek above all else the wisdom that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord and not the foolish wisdom of the world. may our blessed mother who is the seat of wisdom intercede for us and obtain for us great wisdom to carry on with our day to day life this we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer points:

1. Almighty father, as I stand here tonight, I stand before you the ancient of days-as you gave Solomon wisdom, father tonight give me that wisdom that will enable me to shine forever
2. Father as I stand here tonight, I lift up my eyes, from where shall my help come from? It shall come from you Oh Lord, who made heaven and earth. Father, make me shine before men and women.
3. My father, my father, break away, separate me from anything that is not godly, from bad friends, from bad environment, from a wayward life. father I want to shine, make me shine oh lord in the name of Jesus. Amen.
4. Father any spoken word or incantations made upon my life and destiny not to shine almighty father destroy it in the name of Jesus. Amen.
5. Father, take me to that height you want me to be, break every chain, every barrier that is holding me, make me a victor, make my light shine in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Co-operate prayers

1. Almighty father this brother of mine that I hold hands with today, I decree it shall be well with him in the name of Jesus. Amen.
2. Father I say together with my brother, his light shall shine before men and women in the name of Jesus. Amen.
3. Father take away bad people whose sole ambition is to contaminate his life and light, father let there be total separation in the name of Jesus. Amen.
4. I cover him with the blood of Jesus, I cover his life, his future, everything about him with the blood of Jesus. Amen.
5. Father let there be a breakthrough in his family, his business, in his studies. That man or woman you have stationed to lift him to the heights you want him to be, he shall not miss the person in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

PRAYER OVER THE PEOPLE

YOUR ENEMIES WHO ARE LAUGHING YOU TO SCORN, THEIR SMILES WILL FREEZE ON THEIR TEETH IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

TODAY, THE LORD SHALL ARISE AND FIGHT YOUR BATTLES FOR YOU. HE SHALL FIGHT YOUR ENEMIES TO STAND STILL IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

I DECLARE TODAY, THAT ANY POWER WRESTLING WITH YOU AND YOUR DESTINY SHALL TODAY AND FOREVER DANCE THE DANCE OF SHAME IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

ARISE OH GOD AND FIGHT FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND GIVE THEM VICTORY ROUND THE CLOCK IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

THIS MONTH, THE LORD SHALL SURPRISE YOU WITH ABUNDANT FAVOURS AND BLESSINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, WEAPONS FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL BE DESTROYED IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

RIVERS AND STREAMS DON’T STRUGGLE TO FLOW, TODAY I SPEAK FROM HIS PRESENCE WHATEVER STRUGGLES GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE AT THIS TIME WHETHER SPIRITUAL OR PHYSICAL, THEY SHALL DRY UP IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

SOME OF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL BUT YOU ARE STOCK BECAUSE OF FINANCES, TODAY I SAY THE LORD SHALL RELEASE THOSE FINANCES THAT WILL EASE YOUR TRAVEL IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD YOU THAT HAVE FINISHED SCHOOL AND LOOKING FOR A JOB, I DECREE BEFORE YOU WALK OUT OF THE MONTH OF AUGUST YOU SHALL RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FOR A GOOD POSITION IN A COMPANY IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD YOU WHO IS STRUGGLING WITH YOUR EXAMS, BECAUSE OF A PARTICULAR SUBJECT, I DECREE TODAY YOU SHALL RIDE OVER THAT SUBJECT AS THE LORD GIVES YOU WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD YOU WHO IS ALWAYS STRUGGLING IN THE DREAM WITH A WOMAN (BLACK) TODAY THE LORD SHALL SEPARATE YOU FROM THAT WOMAN. THE FIRE OF THE LORD SHALL CONSUME THAT WOMAN AND SHE WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

TODAY, CHILD OF GOD, YOU THAT IS CONFUSED AS A RESULT OF THE DUST THEY BLEW FROM YOUR FATHERS HOUSE IN THE VILLAGE, I SAY IT IS OVER, AS YOU SHALL BE ANOINTED TONIGHT, YOU ARE FREE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, YOU WHO IS ALWAYS EATING IN THE DREAM-THERE IS ALWAYS TWO WOMEN WHO ARE FORCING YOU TO EAT AND WHEN YOU FINISH EATING YOU BEGIN TO ACT IN AN UNGODLY AND UNRESPECTABLE MANNER-TONIGHT I SPITE FIRE UPON THOSE AGENTS OF DARKNESS-THEY WILL NOT COME NEAR YOU AGAIN IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, YOUR INVOLVMENT WITH THE WRONG SET OF PEOPLE IN YOUR SCHOOL HAS LED TO THEM CALLING YOUR NAME BEFORE AN UNGODLY ALTAR-LISTEN, THE ALTAR WHERE I STAND AND MINISTER, IS GREATER THAN ANY ALTAR, THEREFORE, THAT WOMAN OR MAN WHO IS CALLING YOUR RELENTLESSLY SUCH THAT WHEN HE CALLS YOUR NAME YOU BEGIN TO ACT IN AN UNGODLY MANNER-I SAY THAT SPELL HAS BEEN BROKEN-I SAY CONFUSION AND SHAME SHALL BE HIS LOT. WHEN HE CALLS YOUR NAME AGAIN, FIRE OF THE LORD WILL CONSUME HIM IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO MARRY BUT YOU HAVE NOT MARRIED, I SAY AS YOU ARE ANOINTED TODAY, THE LORD SHALL CLEAN OFF EVERY ARROW OF REJECTION THAT HAS BEEN SENT TO YOU, OR THAT SPELL THAT IS CONSTANTLY CHASING WOMEN AND MEN FROM YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, YOU ARE LIVING IN FEAR ALWAYS-FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN, I SAY, YOU SHALL EXPERIENCE CALMNESS AS YOU ARE ANOINTED TONIGHT IN THE NAME OF JESUS. COURAGE AND AUTHORITY IS YOUR PORTION IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF G0D, WHEN OTHERS ARE PROGRESSING, IS LIKE YOU ARE MOVING BACKWARD, I SAY TO YOU TODAY, YOU SHALL BEGIN TO EXCEL SPIRITUALLY, PHYSICALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, ACADEMICALLY, MIGHTLY IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD-YOU ARE BORN TO BE A STAR, YOUR LIGHT SHALL NEVER BE COVERED IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN. I SAY YOU SHALL BE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN CREATED TO BE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, YOU ARE NOT HAVING PEACE IN YOUR HOME, I SPEAK FROM THIS SANCTUARY, THE LORD WHO IS PEACE AND THE GIVER OF PEACE, SHALL BRING PEACE TO YOUR HOME IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE SENTENCED TO DEATH IN THE PIT OF HELL AND DARKNESS, ARISE OH GOD AND LIBERATE THY CHILD AND SET HIM FREE. EVERY SENTENCE PRONOUNCED UPON HIM AND HIS HOUSEHOLD SHALL BE THWARTED AND BLESSINGS SHALL FLOW INTO YOUR LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, YOU ARE GOING TO FACE A PANEL ON MONDAY BECAUSE OF A SINGLE MISTAKE YOU MADE IN THE OFFICE, THEY HAVE CONSPIRED TO LAY YOU OFF, I SAY TO YOU, TONIGHT INSTEAD OF THAT PANEL TO SIT AND JUDGE, THEY SHALL SIT AND DISCUSS YOUR PROMOTION IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CHILD OF GOD, I SPEAK FROM THIS SANCTUARY, YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE, YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER, YOUR DESTINY SHALL NOT BE TAMPERED WITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

I SAY FAVOUR, JOY, RESTORATION, BLESSINGS SHALL FLOW UNTO YOUR PATH IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

TONIGHT AND ALWAYS, THE JOY OF THE LORD SHALL BE YOUR STRENGTH IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.
