Opening Year Prayer Day 08 : Lord Raise Me A Helper

13-01-2017 DAY 8 OF OPENING YEAR PRAYER

Theme: Lord Raise Me A Helper.

Scriptural Passage: Tobit 6,7,8.

We are all in need of a helper. Not just any helper but a divine helper. Someone whom God will send this year that will help turn our situations around for the better. We must always pray that when such helper comes, we may not miss it in the name of Jesus.

That divine helper is someone whom the Lord will send your way when you need it the most. It is that person that the Lord will send our way to provide us solutions to the challenges we are facing at that time. It is a helper that will dry our tears for us, help us forget the pains of the past, help us look to the future with a brighter hope, help us to acquire a renewed energy, a focused vision, a directed energy, a constant joy and renewed peace everyday.

Prayer: I pray standing upon the sanctuary of the living God and ministering in his presence, you will not die before that helper comes in the name of Jesus. I decree, that helper will not delay in coming. He will not come when the challenge has swallowed you in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Child of God I want to report to you that this helper will come to you in a gentle manner. It is someone who will be interested in you even when you don’t want to pick his or her call or be with the person. This person will be patient with you until you are able to listen to him or her. Even when you want to be alone, the person will make sure he or she is sitting very close to you and depending on your mood, he or she will sit there quietly and will understand every of your move. All the person has to offer you is his or her smile and presence which is very therapeutic. In fact, it has a healing and soothing balm and relief to you.

Prayer: I pray today that you will not miss that person or chase that person away with your attitude in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I decree that the wind of destruction will not chase the person away in the name of Jesus. Amen.

There are characteristics of such helper:

1. Patient. 2. Has a listening ear. 3. Always ready to serve. 4. Will never want to see you angry or agitated. 5. Will Pray with and for you. 6. The person will stand in the Gap for you. 7. Stands by you even when the whole world is against you. 8. Will speak calmly, firmly in order to encourage you. 9. Will never do anything that will upset, agitate and make you anxious. 8. Will Comfort you and make you relaxed. 9. Will make sure peace of mind is not far from you. 11. Very strong, resilient and a goal getter. 12. Fights with and for you in your present and future battle. 14. Will be there both in good time and in bad.

Friends, we must pray for this helper. In the months of 2018 your helpers shall locate you. You shall not miss them in the name of Jesus. Amen. The bible says in psalm 121:1-2 “I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help shall come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

Brothers and sisters, the following verses give us what this helper will do.

1. It says he will not let you fall; you protector is always awake.
2. The protector of Israel never dozes or sleeps.
3. The lord will guard you; he is by your side to protect you.
4. The sun will not hurt you during the day, nor the moon during the night.
5. The lord will protect you from all danger; he will keep you safe.
6. He will protect you as you come and go now and forever.

This is the work of the Lord! Men may help you but it is to get something in return. For the Lord, his interest is always that you make it in life. That you become what he has created you to be. That you come to full joy every day.

Brothers and sisters, scripture is filled with examples of those men and women whom the Lord came to their rescue in time of great need.

1. In Ex 6: 28-7:7 When Moses received the divine mandate to go and redeem the children of Israel, he cried out to God that he had an impediment in speech, the Lord raised Aaron to assist him to speak to Pharaoh.

Prayer; I pray when you are unable to face your herod and pharaohs, God will raise mighty men and women of valour to come to your aid in the name of Jesus.

That helper whom the Lord has raised to assist you will carry good news about your vision and mission in life in the name of Jesus. Amen

1. In Exodus 17:2 scripture says but Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the Sun.

Prayer: I pray this day when it become difficult for you in your business, in your marriage, in your vocation, in the pursuit of your destiny, in pursuing your vision and evil tries to overwhelm I decree, the Lord shall raise great helpers that will keep you on the right track, you will not stumble and fail, you will succeed in your mission, you will succeed in your vision, you will succeed in your marriage, you will succeed in your vocation, you will succeed in that difficult and challenging assignments in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1. In Gen. 40: 12-14-after Joseph interpreted the dream of the wine steward he said to him in verse 14-15, “remember me when everything is going well for you, and please be kind enough to mention me to the king and help me to get out of this prison. After all, I was kidnapped from the land of Hebrews, and even here in Egypt I didn’t do anything to deserve being put in prison.”

In Gen. 41:9-13- then the wine steward said to the king, I must confesss today that I have done wrong. You were angry with the chief baker and me, and you put us in prison in the house of the captian of the guard. One night each of us had a dream, and the dreams had different meanings. A young Hebrew was there with us, a slave of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us. Things turned out just as he said: you restored me to my position, but you executed the baker

Prayer: I decree you good deeds shall bring you abundance of favour. Those that you did good for will not forget you. They will remember you. They will come to your aid. Any wind that will want to take their minds away from helping you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I render it powerless and ineffective in the name of Jesus Chris of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

I decree by the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, any man whom you did good to that has turned back to harm you, the lord shall turn their hearts back to you and give you peace in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1. Again in Number 11:25, 26-“then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him. He took some of the spirit he had given to Moses and gave it to the seventy leaders. When the spirit came on them, they began to shout like prophets, but not for long.” Two of the seventy leaders, Eldad and Medad, had stayed in the camp and had not gone out to the Tent. There in the camp the spirit came on them, and they too began to shout like prophets.
2. In the book of Tobit 5:4-20- Tobias encountered Angel Raphael whom he lead him to meet his father Tobit and also became his travel companion. He gives his name as Azarias when Tobit asked of his name.

In chapter 6. While Tobias got to wash his feet in the River Tigris, a big Fish jumped out of the water intending to swallow his feet, the angel encouraged him not to let the big fish get away. The angel encouraged him to keep the Gall-bladder, heart, and liver of the fish which would serve medicine.

Following the question of Tobias in verse 6 what diseases can be cured by the gall-bladder, heart, and liver? Then Azarias responded in verse 7 saying-the heart and liver can be burnt and used to chase away a demon or an evil spirit that is tormenting someone. The attacks will stop immediately, and the person will never be troubled again. In verse 8 he said, the gall-bladder can be used to treat a man whose eyes are covered with a white film. Just rub it on his eyes and blow on the film, and he will be able to see again.

In verse 9-12, Azarias encourages Tobias to Marry Sarah his closest relative. The Jews had a tradition of marrying their closest relative and if the father of the woman is rich, the inheritance becomes that of the husband who is her closest relative.

He gave Tobias the quality of Sarah in verse 12-she is sensible, brave, and very beautiful; and her father is a good man.

Verse 13-15 Even when Tobias was afraid of the demon that tormented Sarah and prevented her from marrying and killed those men who sought her hand in marriage; Azarias encouraged him to Marry Her and he should bother less of the demon.

In verse 16-17 he tells Tobias how to expel the demon

In verse 17-Azarias also told him what to do after the demon must have been expelled. He said to him, both of you must get up and pray for the Lord in heaven to be merciful to be merciful to you and to protect you.

He also blessed their union-he said Sarah was meant to be yours from the beginning of creation. You will rescue her from the demon, and she will go with you to your home. You and Sarah will have many children, whom you will love very much. Do don’t worry!

Child of God, when divine helpers come your way, all your struggles will be over. It might take some time. the truth remains that at the appointed time, you will have that person that was meant to help you. All you need do tonight is to pray and ask God for great helpers. Take your eyes away from the challenge and focus it on the Lord.

Divine helpers will always encourage you especially when you are about to loose faith or afraid.

Divine helpers will not give you evil report rather they will affirm you, they will encourage and support you.

I prayer child of God, those helpers will locate you in the name of Jesus. Amen.

In the book of Numbers 13-Moses sent out 12 spies one from each of the twelve tribes of Israel to go and explore the land of Canaan. Since God had promised him as contained in the mission he gave to him earlier in Exodus 3 where he encountered the Lord in the Burning Bush. He wanted to have a fore experience. He wanted to know what kind of a place that would be so he sent out 12 spies.

Their mission was spelt out in verse 18-20 he said “find out what kind of country it is, how many people live there, and how strong they are. Find out whether the land is good or bad and whether the people live in open towns or in fortified cities. Find out whether the soil is fertile and whether the land is wooded. And be sure to bring some of the fruit that grows there. Scripture says, it was the season when grapes were beginning to ripen. ”

The spies explored the land of Canaan for 40days and brought back the fruit from the fertile soil of Canaan. But they gave a negative report. In verse 28-they said; the people who live there are powerful, and their cities are very large and well fortified. Even worse, we saw the descendants of the giants there. In verse 29 they said the Amalekites live in the southern part of the land; Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the Hill-Country; and Canaanites live by the Mediterranean Sea and along the River Jordan.

The negative news brought panic to the people and it was Joshua and Caleb and counteracted the negative report by saying in Numbers 14:7-9: “the Land we explored is an excellent land. If the Lord is pleased with us, he will take us there and give us that rich and fertile land. Do not rebel against the Lord and don’t be afraid of the people who live there. We will conquer them easily. The Lord is with us and has defeated the gods who protected them; so don’t be afraid.”

Your divine helper does not listen and believe in evil reports perpetrated by carnal men and women. They believe in the power of the Lord, in the strength of the Lord to deliver you, in your ability to do exploits, they believe in you and see things from the brighter side of life. As you pray, God shall raise divine helpers for you in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayers:

1. Lord please increase my faith in you, help me to be positive, help me to always know that you are with me always. That you are doing something new in my life. That you are fighting my battles for me. That you are taking me to greater heights and would lead me to accomplish greater and mightier things because you are the mightiest Lord.
2. Lord banish every negative spirit, word and people from me. When they come my way, give me the audacity to rebuke them. Give me the strength to rebuke evil reports. Open my eyes to see your power at work in my life in the name of Jesus. Amen.
3. Almighty father, that helper you have sent to me, do not allow me to be so busy that I forget to take notice of the helper. Do not allow me to miss him oh my lord. If I have missed him, almighty father, please be merciful to me and lead me to that helper in the name of Jesus. Amen.
4. Almighty father, my life is in your hands, I surrender to you oh Lord. May every situation in my life, receive your powerful presence. Silence the turbulent storm in my life and lead me more and more to you in the name of Jesus.
5. Almighty father, everything about me, I cover it with the blood of Jesus. Take charge oh Lord of my life and make me pure so that I may be a true and living instrument of your name.
6. My father, my father, powers, witchcraft, demonic infestation that will chase helpers from me almighty father destroy that power and fight it to stand still in the name of Jesus.
7. Almighty father, as I end this prayers fight those powers that will come to steal my blessings and chase them away in the name of Jesus. Protect my blessings and my anointing in the name of Jesus. Amen.
8. Cover your prayer intention with the blood of Jesus. Amen.

Co-operate prayers

1. Almighty father as your ends these days of prayers let your blessings follow your son wherever you he goes in the name of Jesus. Amen
2. Almighty father secure your sons crown of glory let no power take his glory away. Give him the glory that is due to him this year in the name of Jesus. Amen.
3. Almighty father grant your son abundant and ground shaking break through and testimony that will make him celebrate throughout the days of his life in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Almighty father I cover your son with the precious blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. amen
