The much publicized Laity Week is finally here and it is the first of its kind in this chaplaincy. The Laity Council which is barely 3 years old was formed by the then chaplain, Rev. Fr. Vincent Olofinkua. Now in year 2016, a breath of fresh air has been pumped into the council with young spirited individuals occupying the leading roles of the council.
“My happiness is that the chairman, his secretaries and other vital posts in the executive level of the council are headed by young people. That alone would inspire the younger generation in our chaplaincy to want to do more,” said Fr. Wisdom, the current chaplain.
The executives and the rest of the council members which consists of presidents and secretaries of all the eighteen (18) societies in the chaplaincy have put together a long week activity filled program to achieve the following:-
