Marriage Celebration Procedeures In The Chaplaincy

MARRIAGE CELEBRATION: We call our attention to the procedures for the celebration of wedding in the chaplaincy:
A. Registration as member of St. Augustine Catholic Chaplaincy.
B. Marriage course is for 3 months. Time: 2-4pm on Sundays.
C. Call of Banns at home, places lived up to 6months since age 21.
D. License from Federal marriage registry.
E. Baptismal Card.
F. Certificate of health fitness.
G. Transfer of Marriage is acceptable.
H. Before fixing your wedding date MAKE SURE you meet with the Chaplain 3 months before your wedding date.
I. Couples are to ensure that their attendance cards are duely signed by the marriage facilitators.
J. Couples are to ensure they come along with their sponsors for confessions after arrangements have been made with the Chaplain.
K. Couples are Not to receive Holy Communion until after the reception of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
L. Registration fee for Marriage in the Chaplaincy is N2, 500; and N500.00 for marriage course booklet making a total of N3, 000.00.
M. Transfer of Marriage attracts an administration fee of N5, 000. 00.
