Introducing Harvest Of Great Victory 2017

Posted on:June 22nd, 2017

We are all welcome to 2017 harvest tagged Harvest of Great Victory: the Victory of the Lord is our portion and strength.” This year our harvest is dedicated to the following;

A- Construction of a car park which is project number 3-We shall use the set back of our perimeter wall to the right (that is, the wall that leads us into the church from Moronfolu street) to situate the car park.

B- The reroofing of the church which is project number 4. We shall inform us when this shall commence. We humbly ask for both your moral and financial support in order to achieve this.

This year our family harvest thanksgiving and covenant Sunday shall be in this format:

  1. This year our harvest shall be a stress free Harvest.
  2. We encourage every family to make a family harvest thanksgiving as a way of each family joining hands to help build the house of God this harvest.
  3. We encourage every society, and small Christian community to kindly prepare for their respective harvest thanksgiving.
  4. We also encourage the individual states to please prepare all very well for the state harvest thanksgiving because we want our performance this year to supersede that of last year. It means therefore that states should begin in earnest to coordinate themselves so as to come out in a big way during the state harvest thanksgiving.
  5. We would want each family to meet the harvest committee and book a date in time. For the first Mass, we shall have only 5 families and the 2nd Mass; we shall have as much as we can. We encourage all to please adjust to this and
  6. We would ask that each family please go to the harvest stand, book your date and kindly pick up a building material that you would like to donate to help in renovating the church. For example: A TRIP OF SAND, NAIL, WOODS, GRAVEL, CEMENT AND OTHER RELATED BUILDING MATERIALS THAT WOULD BE NEEDED. WE WOULD LIKE YOU MONETIZE THIS.
  7. This family harvest thanksgiving does not affect the covenant Sunday program in any way. During the covenant Sunday we request each person to make a commitment to the lord as your harvest covenant with the Lord.
  8. This year, we shall have ONLY ONE CARD TO CUT ACROSS ALL GENDER IN THE CHAPLAINCY. THAT IS, THE SAME CARD FOR BOTH FAMILY OR MALE OR FEMALE.
  9. By the special grace of God, we shall categorize our donations into the following- Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. This would be the category we shall use to honour everyone who contributes at this year’s harvest. Let us also note that it is a sum total of everything you and your family give towards this year’s harvest that would help us make this assessment. We encourage those who intend to be anonymous should kindly meet the chaplain at your discretion and convenience (THAT IS, THOSE WHO INTEND TO GIVE MORE TOWARDS THE RENOVATION OF THE CHURCH.)
  10. During the covenant Sunday, we would strongly encourage everyone to please respond to the altar call (we don’t make covenants with the Lord far from his presence-the sanctuary of the Lord is the best place to do so); so we encourage all even as we pray and ask the direction of the Holy Spirit to guide us to the sanctuary of the Lord to make and renew our covenants with him during this year’s harvest.
  11. The account for the harvest is: NAME: ST. AUGUSTINE CATHOLIC CHAPLAINCY, AKOKA. BANK: FIDELITY BANK. ACCOUNT NUMBER: 5080054713.
    Please brothers and sisters, let us all join hands and build this chaplaincy for it would be to the glory of God and for our sanctification. REMEMBER ALWAYS THAT OUR LORD IS GOOD AND LOVES BEAUTIFUL THINGS AND NOTHING CAN BEAT THE WISDOM IN HAVING A CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT TO WORSHIP OUR GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD. DON’T DOUBT, GOD WILL AND IS ALWAYS READY TO PROVIDE.
